The Perseids meteor shower occurs every year between July 25 and August 18, with a peak on August 12. It has its origin in the constellation Perseus. The source of the shower is Comet Swift-Tuttle. Although the comet is far away, currently located beyond the orbit of Uranus, a trail of debris from the comet stretches all the way back to Earth. Records of Perseids activity date back to 36 AD. In 1839, German astronomer Eduard Heis was the first to take a meteor count and discovered that Perseids had a maximum rate of around 160 meteors per hour.

So watch the night sky tonight and catch the amazing sight! Haffun!!

Math and cars?? :O

Man.....While talking about automobiles how losely we use terms such as power, torque, torsion etc.As a mechanical engineer it has taken me quite a while to figure out all that the number crunching, the head breaking formulaes and those assumptions u have to make most of the tym.Makes me wonder how much work goes into those small numbers we take for granted, while loosely discussing cars.Been in a design and fabrication project on cars recently I have begun to realise and respect them.

Btw,Does anyone knw how much BHP the new 'scud' has?? :D
